Renault Wirral seeks an experienced Workshop Controller to join our workshop team.
This role requires an outstanding individual whose enthusiastic, positive approach will encourage exceptional levels of work and efficiency from our team of technicians.
As the Workshop Controller you will be responsible for controlling the workflow through the workshop in a timely manner, carrying out random quality control of technicians’ work and promoting the ethos of first-time fix for all work that is completed. This will ensure optimal workshop productivity and encourage customer recommendations.
We host a busy workshop with over 10 bays.
The postholder’s duties will include, but are not limited to:
To be successful in this role, you will have excellent leadership skills, with the ability to motivate staff through coaching, development and managerial support. This is a busy role so excellent time management and organisational skills are essential.
Candidates must have previous main dealer experience with any volume brand to be considered for this role.
In addition to that key requisite, ideal candidates will also have:
This role will operate Monday to Friday 8:00am to 6pm. Saturday morning work on rota 8:30am to 12:30pm, usually 1-in-3, but occasionally 1-in-2 for example when covering holidays.
In return we offer a basic salary of £34,522 per annum, comprising weekday rate £33,000 pa plus £1,522 pa for Saturday morning overtime at time-and-a-half. A monthly bonus scheme is in place enabling an OTE up to or more than £39,600 pa.

Renault Wirral seeks a Vehicle Prep Technician to join our dealership’s workshop.
The role will involve carrying our pre-delivery inspections (PDIs) and sales preparation work on new and used cars.
Pre-delivery inspections generally comprise fitting of number plates, check-listing vehicle functions & parts/accessory inventory on each vehicle, occasional minor repairs on new and used vehicles and arranging more extensive technical work to be carried out by our on-site specialist technicians when necessary. The regular portfolio of vehicles includes Renault, Nissan and Dacia models as well as approved used cars from other makes and manufacturers. This will be a busy role in terms of volume and varied in regard to the cars and vans being worked on.
We will consider candidates that are currently working in a similar capacity with another main dealer specialising in sales prep / pre-delivery inspection work, candidates from autocentres or quick-fit garages, or those that have recently completed apprenticeships and are seeking their first permanent vehicle technician role.
Candidates will be level 3 qualified in City & Guilds Motor Vehicle Maintenance and Repair; the Certificates for which will be asked for at interview. Candidates should be equipped with their own tools and must hold a full UK Driver’s license. Candidates with an MOT Tester Class 4 & 7 qualification will have a slight advantage.
The core hours for this job are Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5pm with ½ hr lunch, plus 1-in-4 Saturday mornings on rota, 8:30am to 12:30pm.

CAT 3 Plant Inspector
Stork, a well-known and leading supplier of asset integrity solutions, has clients in a wide range of industries across the UK. Working on both offshore and onshore sites, Stork provides services such as NDT, Inspection Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and maintenance.
Role
Stork is currently looking for UKAS RG2 category 2 and 3 Inspection Engineers to work onshore in the Cheshire region in both short and long term contract roles. Excellent market rates on offer with PAYE and LTD company options available. Roles on offer will involve in-service plant inspections based on a refinery plant.
Tasks and Responsibilities of an Inspection Engineer:
·Preparation of WSEs in accordance with the Pressure System Safety Regulations (PSSR).
·Preparation of inspection work scopes to satisfy the Written Schemes of Examination. (WSE) I.e. specify access, insulation removal and NDT requirements.
·Carry out invasive visual examinations of major pressure systems in accordance with the WSE. Typical equipment found on site: Process pipework, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns, PRVs and storage tanks.
·Interface with NDT team to provide clarification on NDT inspection techniques in order to meet integrity objectives.
·Preparation of high quality inspection reports, accurately describing the assets condition.
·Grade corrosion against company procedure corrosion scales. Raise mandatory defects when the acceptable limits have been breached.
·Review PRV certification. Ensure the device is correctly set and is overhauled/tested on a set frequency.
·Review WSE and inspection frequency post inspection to confirm accuracy and relevancy.
·Participate in the Risk Based Assessment programme for pressure systems equipment.
Requirements for the Inspection Engineer Role
Essential Requirements and Experience
In-service inspection experience of process piping, pressure vessels, heat exchangers, distillation columns and PRVs, and knowledge of the accompanying design codes. Understanding of PSSR with experience of creating work scopes to carry out examinations of major pressure systems in accordance with the WSE.
Successful applicants must meet the UKAS definition for category 2 or 3 inspection engineers as seen below:
Category 2. Incorporated Engineer as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g. appropriate HNC with relevant experience, NVQ Level IV Engineering) including at least 5 years’ experience within a relevant engineering discipline of which at least one year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated with in-service inspection of pressure systems.
Category 3. Engineering Technician as defined by Engineering Council or equivalent (e.g. appropriate ONC with relevant experience, NVQ Level III) having a minimum of 5 years’ experience within a relevant discipline of which at least one year shall have been spent working within an engineering discipline associated with the in-service inspection of pressure systems.
Desirable Qualifications:
·ASME Plant Inspector Level 1/ 2 certification.
·API 570 Pipe Inspection certification.
·API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspection Certification.

Stork require a Plant Inspector or a Line Work Inspector who has knowledge of CUI in a refinery environment. Good technical knowledge of the factors that affect CUI with the ability to create work scopes using operational and design data to locate, inspect and categorise CUI. Leading a multi-disciplined team is also desirable (LTD Company considered).
Tasks and Responsibilities as Line Work Inspector:
Contract Delivery
Plan and carry out pre-surveys of equipment and where necessary identify preparation for inspection and Non Destructive Examination (NDE) requirements.

Reporting and Compliance
Create workpacks including donating relevant NDT techniques to meet integrity objectives.
Carryout detailed scoping activities, WSE creation/review /approval/ anomaly reporting and inspection reporting
Give input to periodical audits of NDT Inspection to ensure compliance to procedures.
People Management
Establish and monitor project team working methods.
Carry out briefings/Tool Box Talks to all Inspection/ NDT Personnel
Ensure that the personnel selected for the scope of work are trained, qualified and competent to carry out the task.
